Mini sermon from Jay:

1. Your future is not chained to your past.
2. Beware of secondhand stories.

All kinds of voices are speaking to you, whether you’re a believer or not.
Be careful which voices you are listening to, for sure, but also… be extra careful about what you believe in your heart that these voices are saying about you. Believe in the One voice not all the voices you hear.
The devil, the flesh, the world, are all vying for your soul and want your attention and want you to listen to them and doubt yourself and question God’s love for you and His calling on your life. These other voices will distract you, tempt you, delay you, mislead you, deceive you, and lie to you.
If it’s not God speaking to you the Holy Spirit within you, as a believer, will guide you or warn you or convict you. He will deliver you.
If something about your past haunts you… that’s not God.

God’s already chosen you! He knew what you were and weren’t going to do long before you were even born. He created you for such a time as this. Your future is not chained to your past.

LORD, thank You for the Holy Spirit! Thank You for Jesus! Guide us. Guide our hearts. Protect us. Lead us. We will get out of Your way. In His Name. Amen.
