The Walking Paths

Once dead in my sin. Now walking with Jesus.

God Shows Me The Way

Part of walking the path is continuously talking to God, thanking Him

“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Psalms‬ ‭16‬:‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

A big part of walking my path is the discipline of remembering to keep the conversation going with God. Being thankful and grateful is a huge part of that.

I thank Him whenever I think about what He’s doing in my life, what He has done in my life.

I thank Him when I notice the little treasures and surprises that He places on my path.

I thank Him when I get through some kind of challenge or trial during my day or when I am facing one.

I thank God when I see that someone else is struggling and at the same time I acknowledge that things are going pretty well for me.

I thank God when I remember something valuable or important that I thought I had forgotten.

I thank God when someone new comes into my life and it is a good experience, maybe a blessing, maybe a connection that might help me in my life.

I thank Him when I think about my mom and my dad and how they were the perfect parents for me.

I thank Him when I am reminded about what a blessing it is that He gave me a pretty wife who loves me and I get to call my own.

I think about the things He’s got me through and I thank Him.

I am reminded of where I’ve come from, where I’ve been, what I’ve gone through, what I’ve been through, and I what I’ve accomplished, and I know that I owe all of that to God, and I thank Him.

Thanking God has really been a big part of walking my path and keeping the conversation going with Him. I want to know Him better. He chose me! He called me according to His purpose! He saved my life! So I want to do His Will. And in order to accomplish whatever I am called to do to help fulfill His Will I need to ask Him what He wants from me and to thank Him for allowing me to do so.

It’s a gift to be able to have a direct connection to My Creator. So I treat that gift with thankfulness and gratefulness.
