“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6 NIV.
As followers of Jesus Christ: We learn how to change our attitudes and perspectives. We learn to shift. We learn to pivot. We learn the Word. We focus on the truth. We focus on what we know about God and about Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We focus on what He has done in our own lives. We focus on what we have seen Him do in the lives of people we know. We focus on what we have seen Him do in many situations and we practice remembering these things so that we may be thankful and so that we stay connected to Him through petition and prayer. This is how we find peace, joy, love, hope, and faith.
In this Psalm we focus on “dwell(ing) in the house of the Lord” — living in the “Kingdom” that Jesus teaches us about in the New Testament. Yes, we live in “the world” and we live in our “flesh”, but we also strive to fully live by the “Spirit” in our minds, hearts, and bodies.
